Steak! Sous Vide! AMAZING…

I know people that can cook a perfect steak just by looking at it.  I CAN’T  even with my Big Green Egg, I could make an amazing steak, but it took some time to get the flames and the heat and the time just right.   And, I had to check with a thermometer.  Try sticking a steak on a 700 degree grill! Then, I learned about sous vide!  Perfect for ADHD cooks and you can get a perfect steak, every time!  You do need an instant pot or sous vide machine.  You can get them for $100.   Click here for the one that I got!

Now, I always vacuum seal my steaks after seasoning.  I don’t like the food saver product that I have.  I had another one that died and just got a cheap one in a hurry, so there is no link for that.  There are other methods using straws, pressure and water with sealable bags that also work.  I think the vacuum seal works better!

I am coming to learn that least seasoning with good steak is better.  Salt, pepper and garlic.  I do like the Montreal blend of those things in addition to that.  See video for who I do it!

Set water temp to 118 for Medium rare, 130 for medium,  you decided what you love best.  If you want more than 130, you don’t need to buy a good quality steak.  Seriously, try it.  For 1″ one hour 2″ 2 hours or more.  Great things about sous vide, you can do it for hours and it is ok!
